Website “navigation” menus are what makes it possible for viewers (and search engines!) to find their way around your site. By default, WordPress will automatically add links to the main menu following the order and labeling you dictate. However, there are generally pages that just don’t belong in the main site navigation, such as Privacy Policy, Thank You pages designed for a contact form, etc. For this reason we generally create custom menus for our clients.
Naturally, this kind of flexibility also adds to the steps necessary to maintain or add to these menus, but the outcome is almost always worth the extra effort. That said, we do offer detailed guidelines for adding pages, third-party site links and documents to your site below. You will also see them in the topic list of our Knowledge Base:
